Soulja boy is the “hip hop” artist that everybody and their mother knows, literally. Ever since his release of “Crank Dat” there has just been a huge wave of terrible dance songs that making hip hop look worst everyday. With his 50 million views on youtube he has taken advantage of his fame by releasing his most recent songs “turn my swag on” and “kiss me through the phone”. It wasn't until the release of these songs that I realized how bad on artist he really is and all the bad things that he is doing for the hip hop community. What he is good at is making catchy stupid songs that mainstream fans manage to fall in love with. Its not just crank dat that has led to stupid fame it gets much worse. Then there was stanky leg that I can't even begin to tell you how I feel about, Ill just let the lyrics speak for them selves.

Hip hop legend Ice T has very strong thoughts on what Soulja boy is doing and made a video on youtube that just assaulted him so many different ways saying things like “soulja boy single handedly killed hip hop”, then he made a second video to fully explain what he was trying to say. Here it is-

I totally agree with you on this. Soulja boy and a bunch of other artits are fucking up the game with all these stupid songs. Why people like this music? i dont know, but real artists in needa step up and shut him down! This shit is getting out of control and if real artists dont stop this its going to continue. All these wanna be rappers think cuz they make 1 club hit that they are automatically the shit and think they can take on anyone.

Ex. i was tuned into the radio today and i heard the dj or radio host talkin bout how hes gonna be with soulja boy down at so and so club. Of course the more people he brings out the more promotion and money he gets, when in fact he probably doesnt even fuck with soulja boys shit lol. people needa put the money aside and SAVE HIPHOP!!!!
Another artist i wanna talk about is lil wayne. This dude is horrible right now. Prom queen and all his other songs hes done with young money are a disgrace. But of course he has a shit load of fans because of all his publicity and these fans will just about sing along anything he puts together (prom queen). I dont think wayne will go back to the way when he was considered good. Its sad that wayne is probably going to go platinum with this rock shit because his audience is changing more to white people and these stupid "fans" are gonna buy it. And when he goes platinum hes gonna put out rebirth 2 or whatever thinking hes good. I think wayne is burnt out and cant think of anymore rhymes so is goin to this singing shit. Cuz u remember back in 06 & 07 this dude was dropin track after track everyday. Plus he has to hop on every remix ever!! lol Hes just run out of good rhymes and his punchlines are becoming weaker and weaker.
